Forklift bearing and pin replacement in Moolap

We recently completed a pin and bearing replacement on one of our customer’s Konecranes 16-ton forklifts.

While performing routine maintenance on a customer’s Konecranes 16-ton forklift, we discovered that the fork tine bearings had failed due to being worn out causing the forklift to become unsafe for use. Our customer requested us to replace the bearings and get the forklift back to work as soon as possible.

We ordered in the required parts and started the repairs. We removed both tines from the forklift exposing the failed bearings, and cut out the old bearings and shaft with an oxy to allow us to weld in the new parts. We then welded in the new bearings to the fork tines. Once the new parts were fitted we could then re-assemble the machine.

Once re-assembled we then tested the forklift to ensure it was safe to return to service. The forklift tested ok and was returned to work.
