Centre pivot rebuild on a Komatsu wheel loader in North Geelong

Sartori’s Mechanical successfully carried out an essential centre pivot rebuild for a Komatsu wheel loader, addressing a significant issue for one of our valued customers.

The initial concern was a clunking noise reported from beneath the cab of the Komatsu wheel loader. Our team promptly responded by visiting the site in Dandenong, where we diagnosed the centre pivot as being excessively worn and in need of immediate repair.

After discussing the findings and proposed solution with our customer, who provided the green light to proceed, we arranged for the loader to be transported to our North Geelong workshop, fully equipped for heavy machinery repairs. Upon the loader’s arrival, we initiated a thorough examination to ascertain the full extent of the wear and prepared a detailed repair quote for our customer’s approval.

With consent granted, our skilled technicians embarked on the repair process, including line boring the pivot to address the wear and replacing all pivot bearings. Following these meticulous repairs, we conducted a comprehensive test drive to ensure the loader’s optimal operation, confirming the success of our repair work.

The Komatsu wheel loader was then returned to the customer, who was pleased to receive their machinery back in prime, safe working condition.
